The Story

Six kids. One dog.
One city.

New York City, back when the trains still ran covered in color. Six kids from six different corners of the city — each one carrying a craft, and something a little harder to explain.

A DJ whose hands move on their own. A leader faster than a camera shutter. A muralist who doesn't need a rope. An MC whose voice can stop a room cold. A ghost with a guitar. A kid genius with a homemade glove. And a dog you do not want to make angry.

Their home base is the A Yard — a subway rail yard where steel cars become canvases and beats echo off the trestle. This is where they paint, where they build their sound, and where they figure out what they can really do.

Paint fast. Move quiet. Protect the crew.

Fast — crew leader in a red hoodie and camo pants

Fast

Rafael Vega

Crew Leader · Writer · Keys

Power: Superhuman speed

A whole piece, finished before you exhale. Rafael runs the crew the way he plays piano — no wasted motion, already three moves ahead.

Ambidextrous — DJ in a purple jacket holding spray cans

Ambidextrous

Naima Coleman

DJ · Writer

Power: Two hands, two minds

Both hands move on their own at full speed — on the decks it looks like four arms. Bed-Stuy raised, schooled on her grandmother's crates of soul and funk.

Acro — muralist in an orange puffer jacket

Acro

Andre Cruz

Muralist · Producer · Acrobat

Power: Grips any surface

No rope. No gear. Brick, glass, bridge steel — if it stands over the city, Acro can climb it and sign it.

Floe — MC in a green tracksuit

Floe

Floyd Ellison Reese

MC · Writer

Power: The trance voice

When Floe raps, whole crowds go still. His letters lean and curve like they're in motion — same current, whether it leaves his mouth or a spray can.

Boost — guitarist in a blue hoodie with a guitar

Boost

Héctor Julián Alvarez

Guitarist · Supply-Runner

Power: Stealth

Look right at him and you still won't see him. The reason the crew never runs out of paint — and the kid who learned boleros from his grandfather on the fire escape.

Yung Fry — youngest crew member with glasses and a power glove

Yung Fry

Franklin “Fry” Ortiz

Drummer · Gadgeteer

Power: The Glove

No powers — so he built his own. A hand-soldered Power Glove that talks to traffic lights, train switches, anything with a circuit. Youngest in the crew, done being babied.

Kilo — white pit bull with tan patches and a chain collar

Kilo

The Protector

Crew Dog

Power: 1,000 kg of loyalty

Found chained in the rail yard, saved by Fry. Sweet, goofy, all tail-wag — until the crew's in danger. Then the switch flips. Instantly.
